🔬 How it works

Catalyst System

It provides a structured cycling method, allowing testing and validation of when the biofilter can fully process the ammonia load in 24 hours.

Biocore

It introduces additional bacterial support into the system, reinforcing the establishment of the biological colony in the filter.

The combination allows:

📋 How to use — 100 L reference

Preparation

• Fill with treated water • Turn on filter and oxygenation • Adjust pH/KH if necessary • Reduce lighting

Daily dosage

• 5 ml Catalyst ONE / 100 L • 5 ml Catalyst TWO / 100 L

Apply both parts daily.

❗ Do not change the water during this phase.

Biocore

Standard dosage

• 1 capsule for every 50 liters of water

Instructions for use

When starting up the aquarium, every 2-3 days

• The capsule can be placed directly into the filter (whole).
  or
• It can be opened and the contents introduced directly into the filter compartment or into a high-traffic area.

🧪 Evaluation

Test on Day 8 (24 hours after the last dose):

• Ammonia • Nitrites

Complete cycle when:

• Ammonia = 0 • Nitrites = 0 • Nitrates present

If necessary, continue dosing until complete stabilization.

⚠️ Technical note

If filtration is insufficient (reduced biological media or low flow rate), processing may take longer than 24 hours even with the established cycle.

In these cases, it is recommended to reinforce the filtration system.

📦 Estimated lifespan (100 L)

Catalyst 250 ml → approximately 25 days. Biocore → additional bacterial support for the initial stage.
